chevy small block 350 hei pulled plug up on compresion pulled cap pointing at one have vac advance plugged now what

With No 1 on TDC and the distributor aligned with No 1 on the cap and the leads are correct in the firing order, this will be close enough to start and run and re set with a timing light.

I got all that but what do I want to set it at with timing light

I would start at about 10Deg BTDC but these are best set by ear and drivability, you will have to play around with it a bit, you may end up a few deg either way but 10 is a good place to start.
