1977 Chevrolet Custom Deluxe ac problem

1977 chevy c 10 305 engine. Brand new compressor on it evacuated the system and put a vaccum on it for about 45 mins. By the way i oiled the compressor before puttin it on. Recharged the system with 134a and did use retrofittings. No leaks but still blows hot air out of vents

how much did you put in? it should only take about t80% of what the R12 charge is supposed to be. what are your pressures? is the water valve shut? Is the large AC line cold or frosty/sweating?

Put 3 12 oz cans the pressure when checked on low side was pretty high and no the large line was not sweating. The accumalator did for a brief moment and even got cold but quickly dissipated

what are the pressures and what was installed was it R12 or a similar product? it should be 30 psi or around there at about 1500 rpm.

I installed 134a in the system and i will check the pressure today on my lunch break.
