DODGE PROBLEM

Hi, I have a 76 dodge W100. It has an automatic trans (727) When I shift between the gears, the lights can get dim, the engine can stall etc. If you pull the shifter toward the driver or push it away, the problem can also occur. I have taken the steering column appart, replacing the ign switch and there is no problem with the turn signals. Is there a bad ground? I am out of ideas. Thanks,
Jack

From symptom description, it seems some wires are exposed and shorting. the gear shifter is affecting this and I would suggest checking if any wires are being affected by the shifter linkages.
