i just replaced the master cilinder and brake booster on my 76 350 chevy p/u and blead it, but my pedal is loose and stops hard when i do compress the peddle.. and when the truck is off the peddle gets stiff when i pump on it a few times.... can any one help me

Not sure what you mean by stops hard, as for the pedal getting hard with the engine off, this is normal, after a few pumps you deplete all the vacuum in the booster and there is no assist, this is not a problem.
