1975 MG Midget Mg modification

I had this idea of putting a 2000 honda insight engine assembly or geo metro engine assembly into a 1975 MG Midget. I understand its a lot of work and money and there's a lot of other components I'd have to buy to make the modifacation. Is it possible and/or even plausible? Or am I wasting my time?

Even an experienced professional wouldn't attempt something like that. The car will end up in your yard with a "For Sale As Is" sign in the window. You will never get close to making anything fit or line up. Go out and buy what you want.
