is a gas tank on a 1974 c-10 chevy truck inerchangable from side to side

i had to go get a new tank but i got one for the driver side and my truck has it on the passenger side

i think it will work, you need to slide the tank under th ruck and see if it will match to the frame. otherwise return it if you got it from a place like LMC.
