Hi, I am thinking of purchasing this car my neighbor has , but it needs 2 new tires, a bolt for the steering rack and a WOF, I would also need insurance. What should I do Help!

Buyer Beware. The tires are easy to replace. What is wrong with the rack? Why is there a bolt missing? What is WOF? How does it run? Do the fluid look clean and full? Is there a history of maintenance?

The bolt has snapped but apparently the car is still good to drive just needs to be fixed by a mechaninc. The WOF being the permit for the car to be allegable to drive on the road. It says it is running good and the previous owner has overhauled and rebuilt the carbs.

It is really hard for me to say. They are expensive to fix if there is a problem. Please have your personal mechanic check it for you. If they won't let you, don't buy it.
