I have a 1973 ford f100 ranger xlt with a 429 running on propane with 4x4. I am having issues with the ignition system. There is no spark leaving the coil the the distributor. I have no idea what it could be. The coil it good because it works on my 71 mustang fastback 302 just fine. What can I do. I dont have much money and im just trying to fix it my self. The engine is turning over. The battery is good. There is the right power going into and out the (-) on the coil.

This I got right now:

Pos side of coil, key on, what's the voltage?--Neg Side?

Take your ignition module to Advance Auto or Autozone, have it tested 5-7 times in a row (trust me!) If it fails the last few times, replace itWAIT! Test that new one before you leave!---TRUST ME, I chased my tail for 2 days, thinking the "new one" was good, and tearing my Jeep apart looking for the "No Start Issue"

Test your distributor with a voltmeter---This is MY JEEP CJ5 6 Cylinder--IT IS A FORD SYSTEM. Is yours like this. See Pics

Got more if need-be, Results thus far?

Can you send a pic of your module. Truck would be cool too!

3 a.M. Here, Mama's day tomorrow. Talk to you then. Bedtime!
