I got the turn signals working, but now the brake lights do not work

there has to be power at brake pedal switch and the lights have to have a good ground. what vehicle is it? homade?

The brake light switch is at the master cylinder... you might have two switches.

The switches are either 2 or 3 wire switches, which do you have?

With the key on, check for power at one of the wires at each switch.

If you haveo 2 wire switches, simply bridge across the wires and see if the brake lights come on.

If the lights now come on, you have a faulty pressure switch.

Thanks exovcds! Tested the 2 wires going into the brake light switch, as you suggested. Got spark. Then, replaced the brake light switch on the master cylinder, and whal-haa - brke lights now work! Easy fix - thanks to your solution!
