on my 1972 chevy nova my ignition lock keeps coming out of the column how can i fix this thanks

the whole ignition lock pulls out nomatter if it is locked or unlocked

replace the lock cylinder. there is a bolt inside the column that keeps the cylinder secure in the housing. youhave to remove the wheel and check the bolt.
