Replaced starter with remanufactored starter

Starter motor will not disengage on start up when the engine is running. When I disconnect the positive battery cable from the battery the starter motor disengages. Plus when I turn the ignition key to the off position the starter still does not disengage.

Think may have starter solenoid wired backwards. Two poles on solenoid switch to terminal marked "S"

Also check to see if Batt POS cable tang is in grove on solenoid or it maybe touching solenoid terminal
