fuel gauge is not workng

1970 vw beetle with electrical problem - gas gauge doesn't work, turn signals don't work - fuses are good. any suggestions? Do you have any suggestions

THIS IS WHERE I WOULD START

IT'S EITHER THE GAUGES, SENDERS, OR THE WIRING
THINGS WERE SIMPLER IN 1970, MAYBE THIS WILL BE AS EZ AS MY '46 WILLYS JEEP
