we replace the wheel cylinders all new brake shoes and master cylinder on my 1970 bettle,we bleed the brakes,had good petal,can go 50 miles a hour and stand on the brake but car won't stop,we also lost our brake lights when we replace all the above?

Make sure adjustment of shoes is draging on drum and check brake light switch on master

Start with loosen up the lines to the master cylinder then bleed the front and back of the master, then move down to the cylinders on the wheels. Have seen this happen before with installing a new master cylinder,
