Need to put car on trailer so steering lock & transmission park needs to be disengaged.
The car has been sitting for 20 years & does not run. I am transporting the car to a different state. I hope to restore the car because the body is in very good shape.

How is the best way to do this?

I'm not sure what you are asking. Why do you want to disengage these things? If you have it on a trailer, it should be fine in park.

NOT BEING ON THE TRAILER AT THIS TIME. SOUNDS LIKE YOU NEED A LOCKSMITH. OR FIND SOMEONE YOU KNOW WITH MISC FORD KEYS TO TRY. I'VE OPENED MANY A LOCK IN THE AUTO SALVAGE YARD WITH THE KEYS IN MY OR MY DAD'S POCKET

BEING THAT OLD AND MAYBE WORN, SOMETIMES THE LOCKS ARE FORGIVING USING A SIMILAR KEY

IF YOU CAN GET BY WITHOUT STEERING, YOU CAN TAKE THE TRANSMISSION LINKAGE LOOSE AND SHIFT IT AT THE TRANNY. BE CAREFUL, CHOCK THE WHEELS SO IT DON'T ROLL AWAY. OR OVER YOU WHEN YOU SHIFT IT
