1970 nova ignition key lock cylinder removal

i think 70 was the first year for ignition lock on column. there may be a button n the underside topush to getit out. if it's on the sdash then take the escutcheon off, that 's the ting around the switch. then take the switch out and you may see something there to get the lock out. Otherwise it may not be a stock switch and somebody just replaced it with an aftermarket one.

look at the new cyl.if their is a spring loaded clip on it u will have to go into the column.
