Speedodometer question

I have a 1969 Volkswagen Beetle and the speedometer won't work but the odometer works. Have checked the cable that ties into the front left wheel hub and it is connected. The cable is secure in the back of the instrument. It was working and then all of sudden quit. any suggestions?

you'll need to got o a speedometer shop. if the odometer still works then the speedo inisde is messed u and must be fixed.
