THE MECHANICAL PUMP IS SUFFICIENT!
MY VIEW ON PROBLEMS WITH A 'LECTRIC ONE
IT MUST PUT OUT CORRECT PRESSURE (USUALLY TOO MUCH)
IN MY EYES, THE FAILURE RATE IS GREATER
IT'S GOTTA BE "WIRED IN"
MORE EXPENSIVE
UNLESS YOU ARE RACING OR SOME OTHER KINDA NON-SENSE, THE MECHANICAL PUMP WILL PROVIDE ADEQUATE FUEL VOLUME AT ADEQUATE PRESSURE
UNLESS YOU KNOW YOUR WIRING WELL AND INSTALL "FAIL SAFES", MR. 'LECTRIC PUMP MAY CONTINUOUSLY BE SQUIRTING FUEL DURING AN ACCIDENT/ FIRE, WHEREAS A MECHANICAL ONE WOULD CEASE TO PUMP WHEN THE ENGINE STOPS!
JUST YESTERDAY I WAS LOOKING THRU MY "LIFETIME WARRANTY RECEIPT BOOK" FOUND MY RECEIPT FOR MY REAR U-JOINTS FOR MY '77 JEEP CJ-5, SAVED MYSELF ABOUT $30 BY KEEPING THE RECEIPTS FROM MY 2000 (YEAR) PURCHASE
WHILE I WAS LOOKING FOR IT, I FOUND MY "ON ENGINE" AND "SPARE" FUEL PUMP (WHICH I KEEP IN THE '77 JEEP, ALONG WITH OTHER GOODIES!)
ONE WAS $11.49, THE OTHER WAS $11.99-BOTH HARDLY AFFORDABLE! LOL! (SEE MY 1ST PIC AT THE BOTTOM!)
HERE'S A FEW MORE PICS FROM MY BOOK AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST

JUST LOOK AT THIS CRAP, THE HIGHER END ONES TEND TO BE BETTER?
