the gas drains out of the rochester carb overnight must use ether to start. engine is a 1970 350.replaced tank and sending unit due to rust and rebuilt carb.installed a inline filter between the pump and carb. car set for 11 years in a barn

ok, under the center section of the carb, or the body, are 2 plugs that are casting plugs. they need to be sealed with jb weld while rebuilding for this exact issue.

been rebuilding those carbs for 25 plus years. great carb when set up right

Something is either loose or cracked on the float bowl. Have you checked that?
