Rebuilt everything: 289, trany; new coil, alternater, battery, solinoid, starter, 4bb. Was running while on blocks for months. I drove the vehicle 1/2 mile to a garage nearer my place; it stalled 50 feet from the door! NO click while trying to restart the engine, battery was fine ( full charge ) tried jumping solinoid; spark and dead silence. Yesterday I put in a new key switch in the dash - NOTHING. The battery is still at full charge. { The wiring harness and voltage regulator are origional, I've even added solder at connections. I am not of the opinion that this FORD has reincarnated to an higher state of conciousness so there must be an explanation.
