How do I get more speed.

I have a ford racing motor but top speed is still slow. I think it is because of the original transmission. I have a 4 on the floor. Is there anyway to change the gear timing or do I need to get a new transmission. How much do either cost?

Do you know the gear ratio of the differential? That is most likely where the problem is coming from.
