I have changed the coil spark plugs and fuel pump so far. What's it doing is stalling after driving very short distances. It alway starts back up but will stall out again shortly later. It acts like its floodin out. I have tried adjusting the carb and am now out of thoughts. Any help will be appreciated.

First you have to figure out if you're losing spark or fuel so we know where to start. When it stalls, don't try to restart it. Remove the air cleaner, look down the carburetor, and see if you get one or two nice strong streams of fuel spray when you work the throttle by hand. If you aren't, you're losing fuel. A common suspect for that would be the pickup screen inside the gas tank. They can become plugged or they can collapse and become blocked after driving typically ten to fifteen miles. After sitting a few minutes they'll stretch back out and let fuel pass again for another couple of miles.

SORRY I DIDN'T THROW YOU AN INSTANT FIX

. WE WOULDA GOT THERE THOUGH. MAYBE A FEW MORE RESPONSES

WHAT TRIPS ME OUT IS HOW QUESTIONS I WANNA ANSWER SAY "THIS ONE'S BEING ANSWERED" (BLOCKING ME)----SO I SELECT ANOTHER WITH NO "BLOCK" ON IT. THEN I ANSWER IT AND FIND SOMEONE ELSE HAS ANSWERED. Sad thing is you can't add to one, unless you track it down in it's respective forum after it's answered. Doc, you know I'm ez (and luv ya!).I just don't see how you were not blocked

LOTS OF TIMES I'LL SLING SOMETHING OUT THERE. MAYBE IN SEVERAL RESPONSES. AND SORTA GET "SHOT DOWN" AS "THE WHOLE STORY". TRICKLES OUT OF THE ASKER. OR YOU HAVE TO DRAG IT OUT. OR YOU FIND OUT THEY AIN'T GOT A CLUE, OR 100% INCAPABLE OF AN EZ REPAIR

I DO LIKE AN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT THAT THEY HAVEN'T ABANDONED ME!

. LEADING TO. MY "THIRST" FOR ALL THE UP FRONT INFO I CAN GET!

I WAS TOLD THAT OUR SITE (WILL?) "PROMPT" ENGINE SIZE IN THE BEGINNING. MANY TIMES WE GOTTA SORTA BIDE TIME (YOURS AND OURS) TO GET THAT SOMETIMES CRITICAL INFO BEFORE WE CAN CONTINUE

ANYWAY----GLAD YOU GOT IT FIGGERED OUT!

COME SEE US AGAIN, WHEN YOU ARE NEEDING INFO FOR YOUR NEWLY ACQUIRED JEEP CJ !

My grump has to do with signing in over and over many times per day.

Part of the reason you get blocked and don't see why is because you know I like to type novels, and I may have actually clicked on the post a half hour ago. Sometimes the issue could be due to my computer. With a reply I posted ten minutes ago I could type a whole paragraph before it showed up on the screen little pieces at a time, then it took almost five minutes to submit. When it's responding so slowly, another person can already be "in" that question and typing a reply but your window to get in is still open. Usually questions are answered and gone off the list before you ever see them, so when questions are still there, what's left is more likely to block you from being a third party, but not until after you've been able to click on it and read it.

There have been so many changes during the last year or two and each one has come with bugs they always eventually work out. I'm not complaining because they're probably still making changes to this version and things might improve, and it's always possible the next round of changes will be even worse yet and we'll wish we were back on this version.
