I have a 62 3/4 ton with a 9" rear end. Can I swap out the ring and pinion out of a 70 3/4 ton with a 9" rear end. I tried to swap out the whole rear end, but it was off by about a half an inch. Am I going to need a dial indicator to measure lash? Can I transfer all the brake components from one rear end to the other?

We only recommend directr fit parts. As fara s the differential, I don't believe they are the same. As far as the brakes, if you switch the entire axle, you can use the parts that presently are attached. If you only have teh internal parts, I really don't think they will work.
