steering column bearing lower need to replace how do I get to it to remove and replace. there is a joint at the end with a removeable housing then it looks like bearing inside that. they are packed in grease. two ears that the bearing fit on how do I remove this part to get to lower column bear? I have a repair manual for the early sixty chevy but nothing about removeing the part.

you'll have to take that joint off first then you'll have to remove teh shaft from the coloumn I think th e two earsare to screw it off, been a long time to work on something like that for me lol.it may be an adjustment to tighten it as well.
