I just bought a 1959 chevy corvette engine block at a auction in a pile of scrap metal and all it has is the block so i did some research and i thought id sell it after i clean it up a bit its not in bad shape just lightt rust and pretty dirty but what i was wondering is would i be able to use a hand wire brush to clean it up? Second question how much would it be worth aprox?

it's going to be a 283 and you'll need the number off the pad on rh side of block and someone will have to be looking for that code. if someone just wants a 283 then I'd say $100 you can use a wire brush but gunk engine cleaner and a power washer do wonders.
