Charge air pressure control, plausibility pressure too low fault 120308, how do I fix this?

The car listed above has 160,000 miles on it. The code listed above needs to be fixed. I have changed diverter valve, I noticed waste gate when removed and cleaned has lots of oil inside which I cleaned with tools cleaner spray. Rear actuator flap on the exhaust makes noise when I start, it's bothersome, but if I increase the acceleration it stops. I been working on this problem for a few months, I have tightened all hoses, MAF is clean don't know what to do next. Please help and thanks.

Hi,

Have you closely checked the air-induction tract between turbocharger and intake-
air plenum for vacuum leaks? They are known to crack.

Hi,

I think I have the wrong engine information. Does this have a 3.0L six-cylinder? You listed a 4 cylinder above and my mind focused on that.

If it is the six, check for vacuum leaks at the waste gage actuator and all lines around it.

If there is a leak at the waste gate, it may not be pulled shut fully.

Hi Joe,

It's a 4 cylinder 2.0-liter turbo 2013 X3.
I tightened the throttle intake boot with a metal clamp ring. It improves performance but 120308Charge air pressure control, plausibility pressure too low fault again kicked in. Do you suggest me to change the Preformed O ring inside the boot. Will it make any difference?

Hi,

I had the wrong year. That's why I got confused. LOL I just went back to find the diagnostics for the code and guess what. It's not listed for the 2013. By any chance, do you have the P code?

The manufacturer's codes jump from 119002 to 121201.

As far as the o-ring, anything that can create a leak can cause the issue.
