We were checking the fuses and the 100-amp female fuse looked blown. So, when we finally got it out there was still what looked like the connectors from inside the female fuse was still connected.
So how can we remove them without damaging the car?

Hi,

First, disconnect the battery negative terminal. Then, using needle nose pliers, gently wiggle and pull upward on the connectors, one at a time.

If possible, could you take a pic of the damaged fuse and upload it for me to see?

Let me know.

Joe

Hi,

Yep, you did send that one. I was wondering if I could see the fuse that was removed and damaged. It may help me determine the easiest way to remove the broken portion. However, I feel what I suggested originally is going to be the way to do it.

Let me know.

Thank you for responding to both of my messages, but we figured it out. We went and talked to AutoZone after we searched on Google and found out that it was the Alt fuse, and to get it off we had to remove the battery and get in-between the fuse clusters and low and behold the fuse was bolted securely by 2 short bolts that we had to completely remove to get the connectors out. It took about 2 1/2 hours but she's purring like a kitten again.
I'm sorry I wasted your time Joe.

No problem whatsoever. You didn't waste my time at all. I'm glad you got it fixed. Plus, what you indicated as the repair will likely help others in the future, so thanks for updating me.

Take care of yourself and feel free to come back anytime in the future.
