thanks Roy! this car was very neglected before i got it. it was ticking very bad before the oil change. after the change and a new PCV valve it's purring :) you've helped me before with this car. i always appreciate your help.
she still needs new plugs and wires a few other minor things but she's coming together!

If I can jump in here I'd like to say that I've owned more than a couple of cars with that engine and it's predecessor (the original 3800 engine) and I will suggest that when you get new plugs for it, get the OEM delco plugs. These cars seem to have a particularly strong spark coming out of the coil which wears out other plugs within about 10,000 miles or so. So definitely get the OE ones. You can find them on Amazon for about the same price as the parts store's cheapies. A decent quality set of plug wires would be a good idea too. Personally, I'd get 8mm ones, but the stock 7mm ones should be fine too.

Hey Harry, if you are still out there i'm looking at plugs.. why the OE? i'm seeing some Iridium plugs. i'm not sure the difference in plugs. could you expand?

Honestly, I'm not sure what it is. I'd guess it has something to do with the electrode. I've seen them with Bosch, Splitfires, Denso, and other brands, all with a dead misfire because one or two plugs just died. And you'd never know it by just looking at the plugs.

i found the OE Delco plug wires. will those work good or..?

what do you consider a decent plug wire?
