Vehicle will start for about 2 seconds, then shut off, no security blinking at me, fuel pump is less than 5 months old, delphi FP too. pressure at fuel rail goes up to 5 psi then goes to zero right away. I have power to the pump, pump does it few seconds cycle, I have ground and power to the EMC, is it possible it's the fuel pressure regulator in the pump? I have a full tank of gas, and no easy way to get it out, haven't found much info on later Tb's online, more misinformation than anything, lol. thanks

Good morning,

Your issue is the fuel pump itself.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-replace-an-electric-fuel-pump

The spec is much higher than what you have measured. I posted the spec below for you.

Fuel Pressure (Key ON, Engine OFF) .................... 345-395 kPa (50-57 psi)

You will need to change the pump again. It should be under warranty if it is 5 months old.

I would get a siphon at a parts store and some 5-gallon buckets and remove as much fuel as you can to make it easier to drop the tank.

Thank you for info. it's what I expected to hear, but doesn't hurt to ask for reassurance. as far as getting the gas out, it has a anti siphon flap, if I take off the the filler neck assembly to the tank, will I be able to get the flap opened enough to get the fuel out?
