Ran perfect, will not start

2007 KIA SPORTAGE
125,000 MILES • 2.7L • V6 • 4WD • AUTOMATIC

It was running perfect until i turned it off. I went to leave an hour later and it wouldn’t start. It had no hesitation or starting problems before that. Everything turns on when i click it on but it wont fire. It never stalled or choked or had any problem before. It always started on first crank. I’m at a loss.

Hello, I'm Danny.

Quick question first. Does the engine/starter turn over? Or, nothing at all?

It turns on. The dash lights and everything comes on as if it is going to start but the next click over to fire it up, it wont start. I’ve only had it a couple months but it has always started beautifully with no lag or hesitation what so ever. It went from being fine to not starting the next time. I sent it to be fixed but they told me to buy a fuel pump, then a cam shaft and a crank shaft. I’m still waiting on the parts (they will be here in a couple of days) but i think they are telling me to buy too many parts which laves me to wonder if maybe they aren't so mechanically inclined as I was told.

Please let us know if the engine is cranking over and not starting, or not turning over?
