Hi,
First, and I'm embarrassed to ask, but is the battery good in the key fob? If it is, the next thing I suggest is to scan the can-bus system for diagnostic trouble codes. CAN stands for controller area network. Basically, the different modules are tied together via a few wires. If there is a code stored, this will retrieve it regardless of the module storing it. Here is a link showing how it is done.

As far as controlling the circuit, the passenger door module is what receives the signal, communicates with the body control module, and then the request is completed. See pic 2.
Note that the TPMS is also tied into the passenger door module. See pic 3.
Let me know if you are able to have the CAN scanned. That way, we will know what direction to go. However, I suspect the problem is with the door module or the body control module.
