My car starts then shuts off right away. With lights on dashboard reading in red "Stop-Brake Fault-Service Manual". Also to word "brake" blinking in red and the and a picture that has to do with the oil blinking in red.

Lets raise the hood and check the brake fluid level if low the car will not run. This is a safety device. Here is where to look in the diagrams below. If okay lets do a CAN scan which is the future of automotive repair. you can get a CAN scanner from Amazon for about $50.00. here is a video to show you how:

Check out the diagrams (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.

We need to start with a couple things. First we need to get codes so that we can find out what is there.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/checking-a-service-engine-soon-or-check-engine-light-on-or-flashing

Then we need to check the oil level of the engine. If you have not done an oil change recently then I would start with this and ensure there is no metal in the oil.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-change-engine-oil-and-filter

Next we need to check the battery to make sure it does not have a shorted cell.

Lastly here is a guide that will help with a stalling at idle issue:

This may not fit exactly but we need to start with all this in order to find out where to go next.

Please let us know what you find and we can go from there. Thanks
