Will not stay running with message "Stop-Brake Fault-Service Manual" on the dashboard

Lets raise the hood and check the brake fluid level if low the car will not run. This is a safety device. Here is where to look in the diagrams below. We need to start with a couple things. First we need to get codes so that we can find out what is there.

Then we need to check the oil level of the engine. If you have not done an oil change recently then I would start with this and ensure there is no metal in the oil.

Next we need to check the battery to make sure it does not have a shorted cell.
