Transmission fluid

Isuzu, Rodeo, 1997, 90K miles, 3.2L V6, Automatic. I just changed the radiator out & some transmission fluid leaked from the bottom of the radiator. How do I replace the fluid & check the level. Not covered in the manual

The transmission fluid is checked by the transmission dip stick located on the side of the transmission it looks like the oil dipstick and sometimes a little hard to see. With the car running take the dipstick out and wipe it off with a clean rag. Reinsert it and pull it out again. There are two marks on the stick minimum and maximum. Add fluid through the dip stick hole. Remember don't over fill it.

Your reply is very generalized to the standard set-up of MOST vehicles. I have done my fair share of gereral maintenance under the hood of various vehicles I have owned over the years and would have thought the same as you. I am looking for specific knowledge on the 1997 Isuzu Rodeo LS Automatic 3.2L. I have looked everywhere under the hood. No transmission dipstick.I have read on other sites of a "Closed System". Manual states transmission fluid must be checked at a dealer. If anyone KNOWS please help. Thanks

Some vehicles are set up so you can't check transmission fluid without a special tool. Cheaper to take it to a shop

Not much on Izuzo. Look at general answers on most general cars, now I know that Izuzo does not have a dipstick and some have to be taken back to the dealers. Why can't they keep cars simple like I am used to.
