wrong fuel added is my car okay

i accidentally filled half my tank with diesel fuel and drove it for about half a mile. is my car done?

no you should be okay. drain what you can and change the filter, fill with fuel and drive. it will smoke some, but it will clear and as the diesel dilutes it will get better. you will have to try and drain as much as you can from the tank, there will be no drain plug, so you will have to remove the pump/sender unit and get as much out of there as you can.
