It sounds like the starter or one of the starter components has failed. What I suggest is to remove the starter and have it bench tested at a parts store. Most will do it for free. If, however, you would rather check it yourself, you will need a helper. On the starter motor, you will find a heavy gauge wire direct from the battery and a smaller wire for the solenoid. What you need to do is have a helper turn the key to the start position while you check for power at the starter. If there is power to the solenoid wire (smaller wire), replace the starter. Here are directions for replacement specific to your vehicle. You will see on the attached pictures the wires I am referring to.

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
NOTE: Before changing the starter1 check the following Items again:
Connector connection
Accessory installation, e.G: theft deterrent system
REMOVAL
REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT RESERVOIR
REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP ASSEMBLY
Disconnect these hoses, cord and connectors:
ABS control relay connectors
IAT sensor connector
PCV hose from the air cleaner hose
Air hose from the air cleaner cap assembly
Disconnect the 4 clamps and air cleaner cap assembly from the air cleaner case assembly.
Loosen the hose clamp, and disconnect the air cleaner hose from the throttle body.
Remove the air cleaner cap assembly.
3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE ASSEMBLY
Disconnect the VSV from the air cleaner case assembly.
Remove the 3 bolts and air cleaner case assembly.
4. REMOVE STARTER
Disconnect the starter connector.
Remove the nut, and disconnect the starter wire.
Remove the 2 bolts and starter. Torque: 39 N.M (400 kgf. Cm, 29 ft. Lbf)
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
