The engine will not stay running?

1999 GMC SAFARI
140,000 MILES • 4.3L • 6 CYL • 2WD • AUTOMATIC

It has good spark and good fuel pressure. But the injector pulse stops as soon as it starts. It runs until cylinders burn up all fuel.

This sounds like a bad VCM, or you have an injector that is shorting out. Do you have a check engine light on? If so, you can get a code scanner from Amazon for about $20.00.

If there are no codes, I would try replacing the fuel injector spider if you haven't done so already, (AC Delco brand). Here is how to change out the VCM as well in case you need it. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
