So my wife came home from work last night parked her car as always. However, in the morning when we went to leave the car will not go into any gear. You could here it shifting but would not move. I also noticed it was leaking fluid from the axle seal going into transmission. When I got it up of the ground had here shift from p r n d and you can hear and feel it engage but does not move. Then she put it in park it started spraying fluid from the axle seal that goes into the transmission on the drivers side. So my question is, is there a stop leak product for this? Is it too late to change the axle seal? Is the whole transmission shot?

Good evening.

No, never ever use any stop leak product. They never work and cause more issues.

From the picture, the axle is not centered telling me that there is a failure where the axle goes into the transmission. There is a bushing that keeps it centered and straight.

To replace that, you are talking about removing the transmission and breaking it down to replace that bushing

Number 32 in the picture.

Thanks for your response even though it did not sound like it is going to be a basic job. I do not have my wife turn the tire all the wa left would that make it look not centered.

No, it should stay centered no matter what way the wheel is turned.

Sorry, looks like this is not going to be an easy repair.
