I removed the windshield wipers the other day to get to the two rear bolts on the intake manifold. After reinstalling them to the marks on my windshield they will not go up anymore. I can hear the motors working when they are supposed to go up. The wiper function was not on when I removed them and when I reinstalled them.

Hi,

Did you remove the wiper linkage under the cowl? I attached a pic below showing the linkage. Check to make sure everything is attached.

Let me know what you find.

Take care,

joe

I didn't remove the cowls when I removed the wipers. I just unbolted them and pushed them up. Is it easy for the linkage to get detached when removing the wiper arms?

Hi,

No, it really isn't easy for it to come apart. If you only unbolted and removed the arm assembly, it sounds like you don't have them fully seated on the splines. Just to confirm, remove the wiper arms and turn on the system. See if the mounting posts are moving. My guess is they aren't fully on the splined connectors.

Let me know.

Joe
