I had a blow out on the interstate. I pulled over, changed the tire, and started back on my way. My rpm's began to rev up slightly. I pulled over on the next exit to get air. When I put the truck into reverse to leave, it would not move. I put it in drive, still nothing. I turned it off and checked transmission fluid, which was fine. Started the truck up and it went into gear. When I got back onto the highway (faster than fifteen to twenty mph) it would not shift out of gear. It just revved up. I pulled over, turned it off/on, and it would work. The more I did this, the more often it was necessary to do. Now it takes time and finesse (a whole lot) to get it into what feels like third, if you can at all. It feels like it cycles between first and second gear and sometimes third just before it red lines if you balance the gas pedal just right. Otherwise it will just drop speed like it drops out of gear (engine still revving). It took me four hours to drive sixty miles home. I changed my ignition switch because I read a lot of places that may fix the issue, but it did not change anything. Has anyone had this problem and what did they do to fix it?
