I bought a car from the auction that has this wet floor/moisture on the inside of the windshield whenever it rains. Is that usually clogged up drains? Can you tell me where the drains are on this car. Also, the power seat does not work, where is the fuse for it? The wet floor is only on the driver side on the bottom left.I also hear whooshing water sound when driving.

Hi,

I attached a picture below. On the left part of the picture (pic 1), you will see the deflector, and on the right, it shows the drain locations.

As far as the fuse, it is in the vehicle fuse box. See pic 2

Fuse is okay, not sure what else can be wrong. I found that the windshield cowl around where the wiper arm fits in has cracks and when I spill water on the windshield the water is supposed to go down and hit the vents /drains, some of it do and other go in the cracks and on top of the fuse box and to the firewall, looking under the dash it is all moist am pretty sure due to that. Now I also found where the whooshing sound is from, it was a puddle of water that I didn't pay attention to in the back passenger side behind the front seat, underneath the passenger seat is moist, and rear has a puddle, but I hardly see any water or moist areas on the front of the passenger seat, where could that be coming from? No wet areas on the headliner.

Hi,

If the fuse is good, make sure there is power both to it and out of it. If there is, then you will need to check for power to the switch on the seat.

As far as the water in the rear, often times the carpet will saturate and then water will run under it to the lowest point and puddle. That is one possibility. Also, spray water on the rear door window and around the seals. I have actually seen the deflector inside the door fail and allow water to enter the vehicle at the bottom of the door trim. Check that as well.

Let me know what you find.

Since she doesn't have memory seats the driver side power seat fuse is in the trunk number 45 was blown, 30a, replaced it blew again, am pretty sure this has to do with the water that was leaking in in the floor, where should I start looking? I looked under driver seat and its dry, connections look good with no corrosion or moist.

As soon as I connect the wire for the motor that is located on the back bottom of the seat the fuse blows, the wire when disconnected has juice to both wires.

It sounds like the motor is bad. If you have power and what you described happens, something has to be shorted out in the motor. However, I have seen the pins in the connector bend and short. By chance, did you check those?

Let me know.

Hi,

The seat itself is bolted with 4 bolts. Take a look at the attached pic for their locations.

All good, the bottom of the cushion has 2 bolts that once removed you can see everything, the motor was hanging with 1 grommet, I moved it and it worked, maybe it was touching the frame, ordered another motor as those grommets aren't sold separately.
