looking at a 2004 cadillac CTS 4cyl. on a test drive car the car drove smooth, however there was a low frequency noise under the hood that that increase and decrease with acceleration. a check of the engine oil at idle speed revealed light colored smoke from the dipstick reservoir, also water pump pulley had a wobble....I did not hear any increase internal engine noise at revving(except for the wobble noise). is this a serious impending problem? or is there an inexpensive fix?
