This happens every summer even though my A/C does not work and I don't turn it on. It is so much that it takes several layers of newspaper to soak it up every day. This is only in the summer. Nobody seems to know what is wrong.

Good morning,

To find the source of the leak, I would take it to a self serve car wash. Bring someone with you.

Take the high-pressure water and spray all around the windshield area and have someone look under the dash for any water coming into the car.

Spray also around the sunroof, if you have one, as the drains do clog up and the water will leak into the car as well.

Okay, got it.

You still need to do the pressure test as I suggested.

The water leaks into my passenger side floor blows through my defroster, which I use in the summer to bring a little bit of cool air in, but I also use the defroster in the winter.

Then you need to repair the A/C system. That is crucial for humidity control.

What is the issue with the A/C?

Like I said, it will only blow air our through the defroster setting. If I switch it to A/C setting, nothing comes out. I think my son put a different settings panel in there last summer, but it didn't help.

A/C in your original post you said the A/C does not work.

If you have defrost only, that could be an actuator but has nothing to do with the water leak.

I attached a picture of the defroster motor. Check for any vacuum to the motor with the command at the vents.

The A/C doesn't work; only getting air from outside when I turn on defroster. No cool air.

Yes, you have a water leak from somewhere and you have an A/C system that does not work with the defroster stuck in defrost.
