Yes, in some cases, the Electronic Management Light (EML) or Check Engine Light (CEL) on a 2017 SEAT Leon could come on if there is an issue with the Front Assist system.

Have put car on machine and nothing shows up but the front assist triangle warning light is on as well as eml.

Did they do a CAN scan? This kind of scan goes over the entire car not just the drivetrain. You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) which will work on most cars from Amazon.
