I have both VTM-4 and VSA lights on the dash. Could these be related and what do I need to check?

Hello thanks for using 2CarPros. Yes both lights are most likely related. The vtm-4 system automatically transfers varying amounts of engine torque to the rear wheels under lower traction conditions. And the vsa is part of the traction control system. A malfunction in one can shut down the system preventing any dangerous malfunctions from occurring. The system should be scanned for fault codes. There will be one set since the light is on. Your local AutoZone or advanced auto will scan it for free.
