If the A/C is blowing cold like it should in the beginning and then stops blowing cold especially on really hot days then have the A/C compressor checked. Once the compressor quits verify that there is power going to the clutch. If there is, then have the compressor clearance checked. Spec is 0.3mm to 0.5mm if it is greater then 0.5mm then you can try and adjust the clearance by removing the clutch and taking out some shims. This requires you evacuate the A/C system and removing the compressor. If the clearance can not be set to spec then you will need to replace the clutch. If there is no power to the clutch when it quits you could be low on freon and the pressure switch senses the low pressure that it wil make the compressor quit to protect it. If you are low then have the system checked for leaks. Common area for leaks will be the condensor or the orings on the lines in the back of the firewall. If all this is ok then I would suggest you take it in to a shop for proper diagnosis.
