I changed a dead battery on my volvo wagon. Now the heating & air conditioning don't work. I am told it is because there is a special way to change the battery and I have to get the computer reprogramed. Does this make sense to you?

Hi KMP36,

No, there is no mention of any necessity of a special way for battery replacement.

However if there is any fault, you need a special tool to diagnose the fault.

Try to run the vehicle for it to relearn and see if it helps. Check for any blown fuses and loose connections especialy from battery terminals to fusebox.
