Shakes or Wobbles problem
2004 Volvo S60 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 140000 miles

My 04 Volvo s60 sometimes shakes when accelerating. The check engine light recently can on and the code that was read is P0455, P2406 & P2404. The readout I have said there was a larger leak in the EVAP system and I was wondering what I should be looking for and what and EVAP system is.

OBD II systems can flag an EVAP leak that's smaller than the eye of a needle. Effective diagnostics and the proper tools are required to locate these leaks.

The shaking and fault codes stored are not related to one another. As for the evap leak, the first thing you would need done is update the engine control module software. The leak detection pump uses current to measure how big an evap leak you have. As the pump ages, during the test it may consume more current and setting off a false evap code. The mew software compensates for that. If the software is not available and the evap system is has no leaks, then the leak detection pump is faulty and will need replacing. You may want to call Volvo and see if you have the extended emmissions warranty for the software which is 10years/150k miles. If it is covered then Volvo will do it at no charge to you.
