2004 Volvo S40 Engine code 91 and A!

I get a check engine code A1 ECT and 91 Torqe Reduction solenoid. Can anybody tell me what they mean.

ECM-A1 is for a faulty temperature signal. Check ECT sensor for a leak or corrosion around the sensor harness. If that is ok then most likely the thermostat is either stuck open or opening up too slow. Would recommend you replace the thermostat first since it is the least expensive repair. As for the other code, is the fault a permanent fault or intermittant fault? Also can you have the DSA module scaned for codes as well?

Its permanent once the light comes on it stays on until it is manually cleared.
