Can a sudden loss of sump oil pressure cause my Turbo to blow and what are the average milage you can expect from a Turbo.

Yes there is a good chance you can damage the turbo if you do not have any oil pumping in to the turbo. As for the life expectancy of the turbo really dependends on how frequently you change your oil. Not enough oil changes at the recommended interval and you can damage the turbo that way as well.
