Got a broken timing belt in the car. Had to tow it back home and used tow strap to pull it home. I've heard that the car could end up with tranny problems from the tow. Any truth to thet and if so, what kind of fun might I be looking forward to?

I wouldn't worry about that. Your real problem is how fast were you going when the belt broke? At minimum it looks like you are going to need new valves.

That was pretty fast? So then you are done then? If you installed a new belt and replaced the bent valves then all should be good.

Valves took just over a week including the machine work. Spent about 350 for valves machine work. Don't have a lot of free time to work on car. I have 2 jobs that keep my free time to a minimum but still plugging along.

So know you need to put it back together? Do you have the cam lock tool to lock the cams in place to set up the cvvt hub?

My brothr has the tools needed I think. I have to work this weekend so nothing is going to happen till the following weekend. I'll ask him about the locking tool before he comes out again. If he has it great if not i'm sure he can borrow it from someone at his work place. Thanks for all your help. You folks are a big help. I'll keep you posted on my progress
