If you put your car in nuetral then most likely it will start. if it does start and not in park with the key being stuck then check the gear selector button. If it does not depress out then it is if like your car is not in park causing the key to not come out. This could also be why your car will not start especially if it still thinks it is in reverse. If the button in the gear selector is stuck, try to pry it back out. This should release the key and should let you start the car up. Let me know what happens.
